I always love a basic that works with literally everything, so that you can get more bang for your buck. This cropped sweater I featured a couple of posts ago has been that item for me, particularly during this transitional Californian weather--where it's too cold to wear just shorts and a tee, but a little too warm for anything cozy. In this outfit I've paired the sweater with some printed wide-leg pants for an outfit perfect for weather in the 70s, and that kind of looks like it belongs in the 70s (get my title? hehehe).

a thread for thought x Eugenia Chung Photography x Free People

As I mentioned in my previous post, my very very VERY talented friend Eugenia, a budding photographer, asked to do a photoshoot with me. & as promised here are the pictures! We went to Windansea in downtown La Jolla to shoot these photos, and they came out amazingly thanks to her eggcellent photography skills.

c o f f e e + b l u e w a t e r + w i n d & s e a

Ello all~

Here's a little compilation of what I've been up to so far this April (I know it's only the 4th but a lot has been going on already~)

I tried out a new coffee place, Coffee and Tea Collective, in El Cajon, you can check out my roommate's review on it here. As for my opinion on it, I loved the atmosphere and the minimalist decor that was going on. I ordered a latte (originally wanted it with almond milk but the guy swore their lattes were way better with whole milk so I jumped the gun and went for it and nearly threw up... i don't like milk guys. I was a fool) which was pretty basic and the waffle, which was far from basic (seriously so good). C&T is definitely a place for more hard-core coffee drinkers, not people like me who like sweet lattes and wimpy coffee--aka coffee with a whole lotta milk and sugar.

I was watching Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives aka Triple D the other day and saw that Guy was about to introduce a San Diego restaurant, so I stayed up past my bed time to watch and boy am I glad that I did. Guy did not steer me wrong. Natalie and I checked out Blue Water Market Seafood Grill whatever whatever--it has the longest name. And let me just say, their food is sexy.

Three words people: crab. artichoke. dip.
and here are a few more words: IN A SOURDOUGH BREAD BOWL.
Ahi Poke
 Tell me this isn't sexy.

Afterwards we stopped at a place for lattes and gelato. It was a quaint little authentic Italian shop in downtown SD.

My friend Eugenia is a super-uber-duper talented photographer, check out her blog HERE, and asked me to do a shoot with her--she's adding to her portfolio while I get some quality blog photos hehe. So we went to her favorite beach in SD, Wind n' Sea, and took a plethora of piccies (to be revealed in the very near future).
