Happy Earth Day everyone! Summer feels closer than ever now that I'm almost halfway done with Spring Quarter (um... where did the time go?!) so the weather has been warming up. Rumor has it that black and white--the most classic of color combinations--is to be a big hit for the upcoming season. I'm happy to hear this since my wardrobe consists of 90% b+w. In this outfit I chose to go white on white for a super fresh Spring look. I got these high waisted Calvin Klein jeans from Goodwill and cut them into shorts + gave them a bit of distressing. I honestly regret cutting them, because they were the perfect mom jean fit, but c'est la vie.
I always love a basic that works with literally everything, so that you can get more bang for your buck. This cropped sweater I featured a couple of posts ago has been that item for me, particularly during this transitional Californian weather--where it's too cold to wear just shorts and a tee, but a little too warm for anything cozy. In this outfit I've paired the sweater with some printed wide-leg pants for an outfit perfect for weather in the 70s, and that kind of looks like it belongs in the 70s (get my title? hehehe).
As I mentioned in my previous post, my very very VERY talented friend Eugenia, a budding photographer, asked to do a photoshoot with me. & as promised here are the pictures! We went to Windansea in downtown La Jolla to shoot these photos, and they came out amazingly thanks to her eggcellent photography skills.
